We publish anonymised candidate profiles on our website to help employers understand the skills available through our network. More detailed personal information is kept in restricted internal systems and is not published without appropriate consent and purpose.
If you are a candidate and wish to understand what is shown publicly, or want a profile updated or removed, contact us at [email protected].
We may share personal data with:
Our staff and approved volunteers, where needed to deliver our services;
Employer partners, where you have asked us to make an introduction or where sharing is necessary to progress recruitment or placement opportunities — we will only share what is necessary for that purpose;
Service providers who help us run the website and store data securely, including:
Supabase (database and secure document storage, including CV uploads);
Netlify (website hosting and delivery);
Professional advisers (for example legal or accounting advisers), where required;
Regulators or authorities, where we are legally required to do so.
We require service providers to protect personal data and process it only on our instructions.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent approved mechanisms.
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including:
Enquiries: typically up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is needed;
Candidate registrations and CVs: for the duration of our support relationship and up to 24 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete sooner or we need to keep records longer for legal or safeguarding reasons;
Introduction requests: typically up to 24 months;
Technical/security logs: for a limited period necessary for security and troubleshooting.
When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to candidate documents, role-based permissions for staff, and rate limiting on public forms.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information proportionately to the sensitivity of the data we hold.
